Old MacDonald Had a Farm is atributed to Thomas d'Urfey and is now in the public domain. I found a Golden Book with illustrations by Kathy Ember with a copyright of 1997. A friendly looking farmer with white hair and bit of white beard on his chin plays banjo and fiddle in between chores. They're all having a grand time dancing and singing. This is a happy-go-lucky view of farm life.
